Where the corporation tax actually bites

The headline rates are 19% and 25%. Neither is what a company earning between £50,000 and £250,000 pays on its next pound of profit.

Corporation tax charge, financial year 2026
Taxable profitTaxEffective
£50,000£9,50019.00%
£100,000£22,75022.75%
£150,000£36,00024.00%
£200,000£49,25024.63%
£250,000£62,50025.00%

Marginal relief at the 3/200 standard fraction. Both thresholds are divided by the number of associated companies, so a company with one associate hits the main rate at £125,000 of profit rather than £250,000. The chart is drawn from the formula itself, not traced.

How it works

Scope, pilot, then run

  1. Scope

A short call to establish what you need done, how much of it, and how often.

  2. Pilot

A defined, small first engagement so you can judge the work rather than the pitch.

  3. Run

Turnaround agreed per service before work starts, a named reviewer on every file, and a single point of contact.

Who we work with

Two ways to work with us

The work is the same and so is the review. What differs is who holds the client relationship and who signs off.

For accounting practices

We are the production layer behind your practice. Your client never hears from us unless you ask.

  • You keep the relationshipYour engagement letter, your anti-money-laundering checks, your client.
  • Nothing goes out unreviewedEvery file has a named reviewer. Work comes back reconciled, with the exceptions listed.
  • We fit your stackXero-first, and comfortable in FreeAgent, QuickBooks Online and Sage.
  • You sign offWe prepare the work ready to file. Final sign-off and submission stay with you.
What we do and do not do for practices

For businesses and individuals

Limited companies, sole traders, landlords, and anyone with a Self Assessment return to file.

  • One point of contactA single person to deal with, and a named reviewer on every piece of work.
  • Nothing filed without youYou see the finished return or accounts and approve them before anything is submitted.
  • Keep your softwareWe work in what you already use. You are not asked to change systems.
  • Start with one thingA small, defined first piece of work, with no obligation to continue after it.
What we handle for businesses and individuals
